HZSS holds a trial for this sport during Semester 1. Trials are held for both boys and girls, with the top 3 from each category progressing through to the Sydney North trials.

Students attending these trials are nominated and submitted through individual schools. Students will not be able to trial without permission notes correctly signed by parents, principals and sports coordinators.
