Australian Rules Football (AFL)

WEEKLY COMPETITION

Hornbsy Zone Schools may enter teams for AFL in the Weekly Winter Competition (Term 2 and 3) played on Friday mornings at various locations provided by Hornsby Council and Ku-ring-gai Council.

AFL Teams consist of boys and/or girls from Year 3 to 6.

Please contact individual schools for weekly game information.

BOYS TRIALS

HZSS holds a trial for this sport during Semester 1. Trials are held with selected students progressing through to the Sydney North trials.

Students attending these trials are nominated and submitted through individual schools. Students will not be able to trial without permission notes correctly signed by parents, principals and sports coordinators.

GIRLS TRIALS

HZSS does not hold a trial for girls for this sport. Any student nominated to attend by their school’s sports coordinator attends the Sydney North trials in Term 3.

Students attending these trials are nominated and submitted through individual schools, with names submitted through to the Sydney North PSSA representative.
